Ocean conditions range from calm to moderately rough depending on wind, swell, and tides.
Seasickness Prevention:
Eat a light breakfast before coming aboard.
Avoid drinking black coffee on an empty stomach.
Stay hydrated throughout the day.
Get a good night's sleep before your trip.
Consider over-the-counter motion sickness medication if you are prone to seasickness.
The captain will choose fishing locations based on a combination of safety, passenger comfort, and the best available fishing opportunities.
What’s the Typical Weather Like During Fishing Season?
Temperatures commonly range from 10°C to 20°C during the May to September operating season.
May and June:
Cooler mornings and highly variable coastal weather.
July and August:
Generally milder temperatures with the lowest average wind speeds.
August Fog:
Heavy morning fog is common in August due to the temperature differential between the ocean and land.
September:
Cooler, unpredictable fall conditions begin to return.
